As a woman, when I hear these songs, I do not “feel the love,” I feel the horror instead.
We are in urgent need of a volunteer to give some training sessions on the difference between love and violence, and to correct some poets’, composers’, and artists’ understanding of “love.”
Note to all those martyrs who self-sacrifice to protect their girlfriends / daughters / mothers / wives /etc… from cat calls: To fight sexual harassment, please contact Salwa instead of committing crimes.
